We refer care providers that can offer the safe, reliable option of Respite Care. Respite Care offers family caregivers temporary relief from the burdens of caring for elderly or ill loved ones by ensuring the loved one is receiving the highest quality of professional care for a set amount of time.
Respite Care is an important part of home care for Florida families, and can be offered in the home or a variety of other settings.
In-Home Respite
A referred care provider can be brought into
the home for a specific period of time to provide
oversight and care to your loved one, allowing
you to leave the home or have personal time to
take care of your own needs.
Alzheimer’s Respite
We can refer a care provider who specializes in Alzheimer’s and dementia care to provide care for your loved one for a specified period of time. Respite is especially important when caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s, as it can be physically and emotionally taxing. By having a Respite care provider with experience in Alzheimer's Care, you can take a break from your caregiving duties so you can return refreshed and healthy.
Hospital Support
Qualified care providers can perform additional support during a stay at the hospital, giving your loved one constant care and attention during some or all of their stay, and keeping family members up-to-date.
Overnight
Sometimes you need a temporary care provider to stay with your loved one overnight if you’re in need of a good night’s sleep or need to travel. With overnight Respite Care, your loved one will be looked after by one of the qualified care providers we refer, ensuring safety and companionship while you’re away.
Travel Care
If you are planning a trip with your loved one and need extra assistance during your travels, we can refer a care provider to travel with you and perform necessary care. They will be discreet and compassionate, allowing your family to enjoy the trip and each other’s company, while keeping your loved one safe and properly looked after.

American In-Home Care refers care providers that can perform a full array of live-in care services, so your loved one can age in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, and you can rest easy knowing your loved one is not alone.
The care provider(s) will live in your loved one's home, and typically becomes an integral part of the household and will share meals, becoming a trusted caregiver, confidant, and friend. You will work together with the care provider to determine the exact schedule of services that will be performed for your loved one, and when these services will be performed, including times for care provider breaks and sleeping. A live-in care provider is required to have a certain amount of hours of uninterrupted sleep while working with your loved one.
It is important to note that Live-In care is not a substitute for 24-hour monitoring. Individuals who require constant care and monitoring 24-hours a day are not usually good candidates for this type of care, because they will likely need multiple care providers to remain in a home environment.

Personal Care services are for those who regularly require “hands-on” personal care, needing regular assistance to remain at home.
We will refer a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) to perform personal care services for you or your loved one. All services can be personalized to meet the needs of you and your family.
Companion care is an important part of the in-home care process, allowing individuals who only need a little assistance the ability to age in place without feeling lonely or unsafe.
The Companion or Homemaker that we refer may perform several services for those who don’t require “hands on” care, but do need a little help to remain at home.
All of these Companion Care services can be personalized to meet the needs of you and your family:
